I bought this for my mom for Mother's Day this year after figuring I should get her something she actually needed. I don't know how it works for cold beverages. I checked out the reviews for this one, purchased it, and had it shipped to her. She had been complaining about the lack of a coffee pot at work and said she'd bring her own but she needed a thermos. The size was documented in the add but I thought it was bigger. This product does the job very well. It keeps items both hot and cold, however, I did think it would be a little biger.
He had forgotten he had it with him, so it had not been opened. He takes it with him when he is working outside. I bought this for my husband as part of his Christmas present and he LOVES it. I watched him open it more than 9 hours after fresh coffee had been poured in, and STEAM came out. Even on snowy days it keeps his coffee hot to the last drop. It is a nice size and really does keep his coffee hot all day. He brought it home one day after working 8+ hours.
